the problem

Legacy Technology

The Pedagogical Management System (SGP) was launched to centralize pedagogical and administrative records but faced serious and recurring failures since its implementation.
Its malfunctioning even became a topic in teacher mobilizations and assemblies, highlighting the severity of the problem.

Functionalities

Essential pedagogical resources were either missing or poorly structured.
Reports were impractical, making it difficult to analyze data and support pedagogical decision-making.

User Experience

Interfaces were not intuitive, requiring a steep learning curve, especially for teachers with low technological familiarity.
Long and confusing navigation flows increased the time needed to complete pedagogical tasks.

Accessibility

Lack of compliance with WCAG guidelines.
Issues with contrast, screen reader compatibility, and usability for users with visual or motor disabilities.

key challenges brought to the workshops

Planning

How the Digital Curriculum can enable teachers’ planning within the SGP, considering different types of planning (annual, classroom-based, and lesson-based).

Reports

Which reports are essential to extract information and enable more effective pedagogical action? How should they be presented?

Student Performance

How can school managers access more information about student performance in a qualified, clear, and objective way?

Mobirise

Workshops were held with municipal school teachers to understand the full extent of the problem.

Mobirise

We conducted collaborative sessions involving all stakeholders, focusing on business goals and idea prototyping.

Mobirise

A DES-Empathy Map was applied to capture the level of dissatisfaction, identify pain points, and align expectations.

Mobirise

Available in a mobile version for teachers, students, and families.
Since 94% of public school students were already accessing the internet via mobile phones in 2019 (Cetic.br), the app became essential to expand inclusion and support school performance monitoring.

Mobirise

SME Design System, built in Zeroheight with planned migration to Storybook.
A strategic initiative that ensures consistency, accessibility, and agility in the development of future public applications.
